One long fic which was originally going to be 10 ficlets.  Oh well.  This is unbeta'd because yeah the deadline is in like a few hours and I NEED MY POINTS . OKAY?
Disclaimer: I don't own them. I just like to make them do my bidding.

After sealing the veil that afternoon Richard, Kahlan, Cara and Zedd continued on hoping to reach a town before nightfall, they knew that Kahlan needed to return to Aydindril as soon as possible in order to oversee things.  They stopped around dusk, setting up camp in a small clearing not far from a river.  Both Cara and Zedd were getting annoyed with Richard and Kahlan.  Since leaving the Pillars of Creation they had been hanging all over each other but now that they were at camp, they had each retreated to their own corner of camp away from everyone else while casting glances in the direction of their love.  Everyone could feel the sexual tension pouring off of them.

It didn’t take long for the group to set up camp, Richard starting dinner before turning to his grandfather.  “I think Kahlan and I are going to take a walk.”

Before Zedd could even respond Cara smirked as she let out a cry of amusement.  “Sure Richard, you’ve used that excuse before.”  Richard glanced over at Kahlan who was blushing furiously and trying to look anywhere but at him.  He swore to himself that he would teach that Mord’Sith subtlety if it was the last thing he did.

Zedd just smiled, clapping his grandson on the shoulder before gesturing for him to leave with Kahlan.  “Don’t take too long though,” Zedd called to them as they started to disappear through the trees, “If you are gone to long there is no guarantee you’ll get any dinner.”

Richard just shook his head as he led Kahlan by the hand down to the river edge.  He watched her as she sat over on the grassy bank, the moonlight reflecting off the clear water.  Kahlan smiled at him, her fingertips dancing over the surface of the water, ripples extending out from the tip of her finger.  He sank to his knees next to her and kissed her softly, careful not to ignite the flame of passion that resided within them both.  It was a challenge but he managed to kiss her awhile without bringing that hungry need to have her that usually surfaced when they kissed.  “I love you.”  He whispered as he rested his forehead against hers, their noses softly brushing past one another.

“I love you too, Richard.” Kahlan spoke with excitement evident in her voice.  She knew he was safe from her powers and now that they were alone, she was more than ready to give herself over to the man she loved.

Richard sat back on his heels, smiling at Kahlan as she made a move it pull off her boots.  Tossing them to the side she let her feet hang into the clear water.  It was the perfect temperature and she couldn’t help but feel the desire to go for a swim.  She started tugging at the laces of her jacket before his hand stilled her movements.  “Kahlan, what are you doing?”

She tilted her head curiously, brushing her hair back off her neck exposing the milky column of flesh to him. “I thought I’d go for a swim.”  She didn’t wait for him to speak again instead pulling off her jacket before starting on the lacing of her corset.  She stood once she was free of her confining garment, slipping out of her skirt and shorts before wading into the water.  “Are you coming?”

He openly gawked at her for a moment before stripping off his shirt, pulling something out of his pocket before throwing his pants to the side.  Richard swam out to meet her only to have her swim away, throwing a teasing look over her shoulder back at him, the water running in rivulets down her bare back.  “You’re such a tease.”  Richard said with a smirk.

“And I know you love it.”

Richard swiftly closed the distance between them, pulling her into his arms and brushing a damp lock of hair back behind her ear.  “Yes I do.”  He whispered, his warm breath tickling her neck before he started trailing kisses along the milky column of flesh.   “I love you, Kahlan.”

Arching her neck to give him better access she twined her fingers through his shaggy, wet hair, holding him to her, never wanting to let him go.  “I love you too.”

Taking hold of her hand, Richard slipped the delicate silver ring he had kept clasped in his hand onto her finger, kissing it once it was in place.  “Marry me?  I want you to be my wife, Kahlan.  I want my family to revolve around you.”

Kahlan beamed, her eyes lighting up and her grip on him tightening with her ever growing excitement.  “Yes!  Of course I’ll marry you.”  She kissed him then, deeply and passionately, letting him know just how excited she was at the prospect of becoming his wife – of joining his family.

They pressed themselves closer as their kisses grew in passion.  It wasn’t long before they were moving together, wrapped up in a tangle of limbs as the water rippled outward from their love making.  Kahlan had never felt such pleasure in her life, their bodies moving together like they were made for each other.  It was perfect and they were in a moment of pure bliss.  Neither one of them ever wanted it to end.

Crying out in ecstasy as they reached pleasure together, Kahlan sagged against him, letting him use the buoyancy of the water to keep her in his arms.  Nuzzling her head in the crook of his neck, they were both at peace.

It wasn’t long before they heard the sounds of Zedd calling to them from the distance, something about dinner being finished.  As much as they both wished they could ignore him they knew it wasn’t possible.  They had to pull themselves away and join him – join their family.  She couldn’t wait to arrive in Aydindril and make it official.  She wanted to be his, forever.

The journey to Aydindril was uneventful and they managed to make good time.  Right away Kahlan set out to plan their wedding with the help of her sister.  She never thought she could marry for love and now she was the Mother Confessor, ruling the Midlands and planning her wedding to the man who held her heart.  Just thinking about it thrilled her.

As the joyous day drew closer the streets were abuzz with excitement.  After the war with Darken Rahl and the Keeper bent on their destruction, everyone needed a reason to celebrate.  There was no better reason then the Mother Confessor’s wedding to the heir to the D’Haran throne.  Peace was finally bringing their lands together.

When the day finally arrived, she couldn’t have been happier.  It was the first day of the rest of her life and she was starting it with her Seeker.  After Richard proposed they headed straight to Aydindril.  She couldn’t wait to be his wife and wanted to waste no time.  They had arrived three days previous and now she was about to walk down the aisle.  Wed the man of her dreams.

Kahlan ran her hands over the bodice of her dress, attempting to calm her nerves and smooth out the nonexistent wrinkles.  She stared at the door just waiting for them to open, for her new life, with her new family, to begin.   Cara handed Kahlan the small bouquet of pale pink lilies which stood out beautifully against her lacy, cream colored gown.  She smiled at Cara, her unspoken gratitude that her friend was there with her on her wedding day.

Her sister reassuringly squeezed her hand as the doors opened.  Kahlan barely noticed the squeeze.  Her mind was too busy taking in the sight before her, standing there under the willow tree in the center of the garden with leaves were quietly swaying in the slight breeze, stood her Seeker.  Richard looked so handsome, her breath caught as her eyes wandered over this muscular form, the black tunic and trousers he wore she had never seen.  Immediately her mouth was dry as she imagined pulling the shirt over his head, caressing his hard muscles with her hands.  She mentally shook herself to clear her mind of the thoughts that were sending her heart rate sky high.

When he heard the door open his deep brown eyes boring into her clear blue ones, it made him weak in the knees.  The cut of her dress had his heart nearly beating right out of his chest, the milky expanse of her shoulders and chest had him imagining later that night, pulling that dress from her body.  He watched her close the distance between them, taking her soft hand in his rough one, pulling her closer.  He could smell the oils she had bathed in.  She smelled sweeter than any flower in that garden.  She was his.

Kahlan saw the look of desire in his eyes when he took her hand.  It required all her strength not to cancel the wedding right there and haul him off to their chambers.  She smiled at him, a sweet, innocent, special smile that warmed his heart.  “Hi.”  She practically whispered.

His lips twitched up into a smile at the tone of her voice, the smile she gave only him.  “You look beautiful.”

Before she knew it Zedd was there under his authority as First Wizard to preside over the marriage of the Mother Confessor.  She barely heard the words he spoke.  Her mind was too clouded with the thoughts of her dreams coming true, of becoming Mrs. Cypher.  The thought warmed her heart.

When she heard Richard start to speak, reciting the vows that would bind her soul to his for eternity and beyond, she nearly passed out.  She had to tighten her grip on his hand, her eyes watering as he was handed a delicate gold ring from Cara before sliding it onto her finger.  “I do.”

She wanted to weep with joy but she couldn’t; it was her turn to promise to be his forever.  Her heart raced as she recited the vows, taking the golden ring from Dennee and placing it on his finger.  “I do.”

Richard didn’t even wait.  As soon as the words left her mouth, he crushed his mouth to hers in a searing kiss, expressing how happy he was that she was finally his.  Zedd just stood there chuckling to himself as the couple embraced.  He let his magic engulf them, binding them not only with love and vows, but magic as well.  As the shimmering light faded he beamed and spoke more to the small crowd gathered than to the newly married couple.  “You are now bonded for all eternity, as husband and wife.”

When the kiss finally ended Richard took her hand in his, brushing his lips against the ring she now wore.  “I love you Mrs. Cypher.”

Kahlan couldn’t help but beam.  She had waited for far too long to be called that.  She was finally his, finally part of his family.  “And I love you, Mr. Cypher.”

He kissed her chastely then, not wanting to reawaken his desire for her until after the party.  He didn’t know how long they would be staying at this celebration; they had some celebrating to do in private.  As much as he wished it otherwise, he knew they had to stay for the party.  Walking hand in hand with Kahlan to the banquet hall he smiled to himself as he watched her eyes sparkle with excitement.  This was her day and he intended to make it one she would always remember.

He pulled her into his arms, eliciting a giggle from her at his sudden action.  He held her close, burying his nose in her luscious hair, breathing in the scent of flowers, vanilla and his wife.  She kissed his neck, right beneath his ear.  “What are you doing?”  She whispered seductively.

He pulled her out into the middle of the dance floor, swaying with her to the music.  “I’m dancing with my wife.”  She beamed, her eyes sparkling with all the love and joy she felt in that moment, kissing him softly, conveying all the love she had in her heart and the joy at finally being a part of his family.

The couple danced together, oblivious to the world around them, late into the night.  Kahlan never stopped smiling, joy permeating every ounce of her being.  It was impossible for her joy not to be contagious, Cara and Zedd laughing and joking while Dennee bounced little Edwin on her knee.  This was her family now and it was only going to get bigger.

They had danced late into the night, the many guests staring at them with smiles on their faces.  Never before had a Confessor married for love and they didn’t want to miss a moment of the joyous occasion.  Richard held her close, his desire for her growing every second, the feel of her hot breath on his neck driving him mad.  He had waited long enough.  He whispered sweet nothings in her ear, her mouth going dry, and a moan escaping her lips at his promises of what was to come.  They said their goodbyes, Kahlan melding into his embrace as they addressed the gathered crowd.  “Thank you for coming to our wedding.”  Kahlan spoke, the feel of her soft, feminine curves against his muscular frame was nearly enough to lose all reasoning.

Richard spoke before she had another chance to open her mouth.  He needed to be somewhere private with her as soon as possible and he knew if she handled their departure he wouldn’t be getting her out of that dress for quite some time.  “Kahlan and I are glad you were here to witness the marriage of a Confessor to the man she loves, something no confessors in the last thousand years had been able to accomplish.  However we must take our leave.”  Without another word he took her hand and led her out of the banquet hall.

He pulled her along, happiness radiating off them both.  The passion in their eyes obvious.  Richard led her down a corridor and away from their chambers.   “Where are you taking me?”  She giggled as he pulled her towards the stables.

“You’ll see.”

She shot him a questioning look but said no more.   He was in one of his moods and obviously wanted this to be a surprise.  Upon arriving at the stable she noticed one horse already saddled and ready to go.  Richard led her over to the beautiful mare, smiling the whole time.  She was confused but she played along as he helped her up into the saddle before mounting behind her and situating her crossways in his lap.  She wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in the crook of his neck, sucking on the pulse point and making him groan as they rode off into the darkness.

They rode through the streets of Aydindril and eventually out into the surrounding forest.  Kahlan was getting more confused by the minute until he brought the horse to a stop at the edge of a small clearing.  Her eyes went wide at the sight before her.  Sitting in the center of the clearing was a small two room cabin.  She beamed when she realized what it was doing there and who had built it.  She had wondered where he had been getting off too and now she knew.  She was suddenly thankful she hadn’t pressed his grandfather for information.  She wouldn’t have wanted this surprise ruined.  The thought that he had built this for her, a place to start their life together as a family brought tears to her eyes.

“You made this?”

“Yes my love.”  He kissed her tears away, tasting the salt left behind on his lips.  “Our own private escape from the world, a place we can just be a family.” He helped her down from the horse then scooped her up into his arms, carrying her over the threshold and into the small cabin.

Her eyes scanning everything as he carried her though the house and into the bedroom, gently setting her down on the downy mattress, she couldn’t believe how beautiful the cabin was or that he had made it with his own two hands.  The thought warmed her heart.  She watched him, his eyes full of desire and burning passion.  It made her throat dry.  She stood, sweeping her hair off her shoulders and turning her back to him, offering him the lacing of her dress.

His fingers set to work right away, kissing and licking over her shoulder and along her collarbone as he pulled the laces free.  She felt her dress loosen enough and she shimmied out of it, wanting him to see her, knowing the passion they ignited in each other.  She turned, letting the material pool at her feet as her hands went to his shirt, pulling it over his head.   He crushed his lips to hers in a hungry, passionate kiss, his hands wandering over the soft supple curves of her body.  He loved it.

Their kisses grew in passion and intensity, his stubble leaving a raw irritation on her skin, the sweet sting only increasing the pleasure.   This was their wedding night, she wanted to enjoy it.  They tumbled together, falling back onto the bed as they made sweet, passionate love to each other well into the night.  It was a moment Kahlan never wanted to end.  They were together forever in the eyes of the Spirits and this was only the beginning.  She couldn’t wait until they added to their family.  The thought of having a child with the man she loved just fueled her passion, driving her mad with want and desire.

They made love until the sun came up, their bodies exhausted, limbs tangled in a mass of sheets, sweat clinging to them both as they cuddled together.  Kahlan rested her head on his chest as she fell asleep dreaming of the future they were starting and the child they could have made.  The thought sent her into dreamland with a smile on her lips.

Richard buried his nose in her hair taking in the sweet scent that was so uniquely Kahlan.  It warmed his heart.  He fell asleep with her in his arms, hand lightly resting on her belly and wondering if they had made a life.  The sun just starting to spill in the window as his mind wandered to the thought of a family with Kahlan.  Nothing could make him happier.
